What is considered really fast WPM?

I was wondering what is considered fast words per minute for typing. I was just browsing through some jobs that said at least 40 WPM, and I just did a test and found I typed 88 WPM. What is considered really fast realistically speaking? Not a bizarre super human WPM but what is considered impressive. Thanks

I type 110 WPM with 100% accuracy, so I would probably say ~130 WPM with 100% accuracy would impress me.

Haha of course I make mistakes However, I was talking about if I were to type something prepared (like a typing test), I could average about 110WPM at near perfect accuracy and better.

I actually searched that on Google and did it because of this thread! Here's the results that I e-mailed to myself:

three minute test isn't very good. Try a 10+ minutes test

I decided to take the test. I won't post my result, but I will say that I wasn't very close to Nich's performance...

For office works, 50 or 60 will be good enough. Professional typist do 80-100. They can type faster, but if you do typing for hours and afters, days after days, you'll get health problems typing at that speed.

75 WPM. Not bad, considering that English is a foreign language for me! I took a 3 min test with the damn tigers text!

Back in the day I think I hit 95 on a 5-minute test, and that was on a typewriter. :p

These days when I'm at the keyboard I'm usually composing as I go, so definitely much slower, as I have to pause to think and frequently change things on the fly.
