Forum post time limit >:(
Everytime I post it says wait 1 or >5. If the time limit was just a little bit shorter it would be awesome

Maybe that's why my post count is so lowBig things coming soon

Didn't it use to be 60 seconds? Was it raised to ease off server load (though WHT still seems slow at times)

When we have to clean up, that's even more posts to delete if it was 30 seconds between posts - and more posts means other moderators need to get involved if they don't have permission in certain forums.
If we could have 90 seconds for new members and 30 seconds for ones with a good few posts, that would be fine. But otherwise, 30 seconds would just create more work for us (moderators) and make it easier for people to spam to 10 posts before we noticed them.
That's my 2 cents anywayAlasdair

Heh, at around the time this thread was created, I had just removed 5 two/three word post for someone in a hurry to post a URL. Which he managed to get in before I spotted him. Hence my comment about making it 120

Here is what I think should be done.
Have the normal time wait, but then have a setting for 30 seconds or less! for good members. And then make people apply for the 30 second time. that way you can deny the ones you think would be a bad idea.Steven Ciaburri | Industry's Best Server Management - Rack911.com

Could it be less for older members...maybe 85 or 80 seconds...it's really annoying when you get caught out by a few because then I carry on surfing in another window, post, then go "oh i'll go and post that now" DAMNIT 90 seconds to waitMediaLayer, LLC - www.medialayer.com Learn how we can make your website load faster, translating to better conversion rates for your business!

I wonder if vBulletin could be hacked so that one you reach 550 and get put in the custom title group the time goes down to 60 seconds. After 550 there is no reason to spam, becuase you have everything you want .

Why isn't 90 seconds interval enough to post? It takes longer to read posts and composing your reply.

I think there might be a few that don't read the thread and just hit submit and tell the OP to do a search, even though a few might have already said that Or reply with something not related to the thread, because they didn't read first.
