    xe.com - am i being VERY thick...

but i can't figure out which of their myriad services is the one that I could, say, pass a GBP value to from a php script and get a USD value back. If I want to get my billing stuff with 2checkout, and my prices listed in GBP on my site, then I need to do this, but just can't find which of xe's services I need.

    ta

    <A HREF="http://www.xe.com/pca/">XE.com Personal Currency Assistant</A>

Is all you need to put in your page. Keeps clients on your page too, just pops up a converter window......

Hope that is what you were looking for,

thanks but, no, thats not what i'm on about
i don't want ANY customer involvement with conversion. just my prices displayed on my site in GBP, (maybe USD too, and if i can find this service it can be used for this too) and when a customer places an order and my site sends off its data to 2checkout, the price goes through xe to be converted to their required USD format. automatic conversion, there shouldnt be anything the customer has to do.

    thanks

    Smile

    Sorry Ev0

Well I may be wrong but i don't think you can do that - I don't think it's a good idea either as xe.com's rates may not be correct either - If you process in US$ - Then you would be better to display pricing in US$ - WorldPay handles currency conversions but I don't think you would be wise to try and convert yourself.

Another good reason not to - xe.com is down, so is your order system - it's been down on and off a lot lately for me - Stay away is my advice..
