VPS needed

Hello,

I'm on a dedicated server for months and want to move all my sites to a VPS since i use a very small share of the actual hosting resources i pay for.

I'm looking for a Linux VPS with Cpanel.

10GB disk space and 50GB bandwidth would be ok.

Willing to pay $25 to $30 monthly. Paypal (verified for years, business= not a new account).

I found companies but do not know which one to choose, and dont want to end up screwed.

Please recommend me a serious company. Thanks!

You might want to raise your budget slightly. Also have a look through the VPS Hosting Offers

That "with Cpanel" part influences the total cost for the privider seriously, so it will influence the price you have to pay as well. I think ~$45 is a price to be expected.

If you can live without cPanel, you can try out directadmin, which, could reduce the cost of the VPS down by $10 or so. Plus, DirectAdmin works much better on limited resources in my opinion. Just something to think about..

I can't live without cPanel, a company quoted $9.99 extra per month for the license.

10GB disk space, 100GB bandwidth= Total $35 per month with cPanel included.

My favorite offer received so far.

How much RAM is included with that VPS? You'll need least 128MB, and, 256MB would actually be recommended. cPanel seems to perform not so well with limited RAM. Neither does PHP or MySQL.

cPanel requires at least 256 MB (as seen here), so cPanel will not function on 128, I can tell you that much. 256 is still way too low for any realistic site. 512 MB of RAM and above, for cPanel with a decently active site.

I used to really like CPanel as well, but having moved to Plesk I find it much nicer overall. You might want to consider a change to Plesk if you want to stick to your budget.
