Core Duo 2- anyone get one yet?
So, anyone here manage to get their hands on a conroe yet? From what I've gathered, it won't be available in Vancouver for another 1-2 months (cries).
I've seen a lot of positive reviews and great pricing.

I've seen pricing in Canada as well, but they're all preorders.. but with the recent price drops in AMDs, it's hard to resist. I just got my hands on another X2 3800+ for only $179 cdn  .

I've got 3 weeks before my system build, so I'm waiting for the prices to drop even more. That 3800 you bought just might be worth $100 in 3 weeks  (I hope!)

^^^^^ The socket 939 chips are ending production in favor of the AM2 socket, so if you have socket 939 now is probably the best time to upgrade. My 3800+ X2 (939) & 2Gb of PC3200 RAM are coming in Monday.

Mike, that made me laugh. I have an old agp mother board, an AMD 2500, and an t-43 64mb video card. I'm going for the complete overhaul top of the line for ~$1500 CAD.
AM 2 all the way now eh

Cool! I still have AGP, don't make me feel so obsolete  . What is a T-43 video card?

Typo on my part, it is an: GeForce4 Ti 4200 64mb video card, 250 chip clock, and a 514 memory clock.
