I'm looking to rent some equipment for about 2 weeks to do some kind of high speed internet on my laptop within the US. Anyone have experience with such a request?

Where in the US?

I will be travelling in the 1000 Islands area of NY, DSL is not available where I'm staying and there are no cyber cafe's, starbucks etc available.

Get a Verizon card for your laptop and return it within their little "grace" period which is like 15 days. You will get refunded every dime.

Talk to a representative and ask some questions, they honor their word. My bestfriends mother is one of the director's of Verizon Wireless, so if you have any trouble just drop me a PM.
