Has anyone bought one of these?

http://dualdrill.com

I think this drill is soooo cool, but how good is it "really"? I can see how it could have a weakness in it, but for small jobs I think it could work. Anyone bought one? How is it?

Even if it works as advertised, $120 is kind of steep, IMHO.

Nevermind, I dont want it....
$120 is not steep for a "good" 18v drill.

Never heard of the company making that drill so I can't really vouch for how good the quality may be but I bought one of these puppys about a year ago and love it.. can caryy it all over the place and just slip it in my pocket.

Could it be more useless? How often is this a problem? Never? Invent the solution then convince people there was ever a problem to begin with

I don't like to use battery powered drills, not enough power.

Peace,

They're not that bad, but I just don't see the need to actually use a drill to put in a screw. Unless you're doing assembly work all day, a screwdriver will do just fine and you have more control precision.

Tell your local cable guy, electrician, etc, etc that... There are many MANY reasons for using a drill in all kinds of occupations. Even putting together many racks in a data center becomes quicker. If I had something like this when I was doing cable... man I woulda had it made. When running cable along the house in brick... you have to drill a hole for the anchor, then screw in the anchor to hold the wire. You could have 50-100 of these. Imagine changing the bit twice on all of them. Thats where an idea like this would work really well. But alas, the reviews of it say it sucks serious donkey doo..... so much for that,.

So, why didn't you just drilled the holes, change the bit, then screw in the screws? You don't have to do the change every hole

Save your money and get a good drill. Anything that needs an infomercial to sell isn't worth buying.

Half the time it's that easy, the other half it isnt. For example, drill all the holes. Halfway there you find you are running into cement that is too brittle to hold the cable and have to re-route. What do you do about the 50 other holes you already drilled? Yes you can spend the time filling them in, but why put yourself in that situation by drilling a bunch of holes in the first place? Trust me, I ran into brittle concrete ALL the time. I'm surprised many houses out there havent fallen down yet. More often, I was finding new mobile homes were being better built than the new "supposedly" real homes. Thats pretty bad...

But for anchor drill & screw, this idea would be good.

When I was working as a carpenter (and when I built my own house last year) battery drills are a must have. Especially great for working on roofs etc. They're making them with lots of grunt these days, and they usually come with some spare batteries, so you just keep charging them as you need them.

Every bloke needs a good battery drill.
