Looking for suggestions on a VPS with these requirements

Hi there. Currently I'm being hosted by tektonic on UM1 and I've been really satisfied with the service. I started off with unixshell but switched to their tektonic unmanaged plans because I needed the bandwidth more than the performance (in my experience, my VM in unixshell felt a lot faster than with tektonic).

However, my only problems with their hosting is that they close off a lot of ports (IRC included). I'm sure they do it for a good reason, but there are some ports that I'd really need to be opened. For example, port 7000 is being used as a login by a friend of mine - with my current server, I'm not able to access his game server through the VPS.

Is there a comparable plan to tektonic's or unixshell's offering that would be more gratuitous as regards the ports they keep filtered? Just for reference, my server is currently under Virtuozzo with a 256MB ram, 10GB disk space, and unlimited bandwidth with a 1gbit cap outbound - all for $15 a month. I'd really like a host having around the same resources offered, but preferably on Xen (since I'd rather use swap than have my apps killed). I'll even sacrifice ram up to 64MB as long as the ports aren't that aggressively filtered.

It's not really just IRC that I need.

I write a few "automated-assistant" programs for an MMORPG, and the login servers for those sometimes fall in ports that are filtered. For example, my friend's account server is on port 7000 - one which tektonic filers out.
