Cost of running a PC

Hello all,

How much, in the UK, do you reckon it costs to run an above average gaming PC 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

Here's my setup:

AMD 64bit 3700
2GB RAM
ATI X1800XT 256MB Ram
580W PSU

I know there is no real way to guess with my PC, but you get the idea. I'm just looking for a rough idea.

Whats the best way to run a PC while your not using it?
Is AMD's Cool'n'Quiet technology worth it? Does it save electricity without impacting performance?

Thanks guys!

Depends on the load of the PC.. If it's 24/7 doing video encoding, it'll be a lot more than 24/7 in idle/standby.

Depends on what you pay for electricity and if you also count rent in.
