other than bug your host, what else can you do?

write your complaint/notice for leaving the dc?
order a new server or apc remote reboot port?
    go get some fresh air?
    answer the inevitable support calls?

Find a new host. If you are using a dedicated server, and your hosting company is not available immediately to help you out when a manual reboot is needed, it's time to find someone else.

Find a new host and test them. Call their Technical Support Department and see where you are re-routed. All the savings you receive from "low-cost" hosting plans is thrown out the window the minute you go down.

My team and I spent the last few months putting together the DynDNS Spring Server VPS platform for folks needing IPv4 and IPv6 Linux servers on Xen. Would love feedback, both good and bad!
