I never had the C64, but I had two C128's and they did have a 64-mode. I used to love playing ELITE on that thing, kept me busy for weeks on end.

Yes, I used to love my Commodore machines. First off I got myself a C128 then the Amiga made an appearance and I just had to get me one of those.
I loved the Amiga, which IMO was easily better than the IBM`s of the time. MY friend had the latest PC, but he spent more time on my Amiga. Kind of strange with everything inside a blocky keyboard, but for the size and time they were pretty powerful machines. My last model was the Amiga 1200.
They did start enterting into the PC field, designing machines that came inside a desktop case but sadly Commodore/Amiga was already a dead duck.
I don`t have any of my Amiga hardware or software anymore. I have been tempted to buy up an Amiga from Ebay.

I just received my 3rd C64 yesterday, in fact. Don't know why, but I like to have that little piece of history ( many times over)

Hey..... let's hear it for the super computer of all time; the Commodore Vic 20 with less than 3k of ram. When I upgraded to a C-64, I thought I had the ultimate machine.
