spamassassin upgrade freebsd

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade spamassassin on a FreeBSD 6.1 box and I'm following the howto of Directadmin but I wonder how I can do a kill -9 spamd on a FreeBSD box.
Doesn't work apparently...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Try:

ps aux | grep spamd

Then you should be able to kill off the PID's.

Not familiar with DA. On a control panel-less FreeBSD server you'd have a script rc.d which you call:

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/sa-spamd.sh stop

(or use restart instead of stop)
