What's up with Namecheap?

Website down for "a few minutes" since 11:30....

No response to e-mail tickets for over 2 days....

What gives? They're better than this.

I've already started transferring critical domains out...3 hours+ downtime is unacceptable, and scary.

Shame too, I liked namecheap.

Still down. I was actually going to try transferring a domain there today too.

I moved all my domains over to go daddy. Hopefully I won't lose them.

We are having some technical issues with our home page only. This does not affect our clients domains or their accounts in any way. Our developers are currently diligently working to correct the issue and it should be resolved soon.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Edit: Actually, the site is up now and the problem has been corrected. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

That's good, but I am a little put off by the fact that TWO support tickets have been ignored for almost 3 days now.

I've been a good customer too; well over 100 domains.....

We don't purposefully ignore our clients. We answer every email sent to us everyday unless it is escalated. If you have not recieved a response to your email there are many possibilties for that including spam filters etc.

Even if you do not filter on your end, it is possible your ISP filters your emails without notifying you. This is very common nowadays and many ISPs will deny it to their clients.

If you email me at Richard at ExpertCreations dot com I will look into this and see if I can find the problem for you and personally address your issue.

Now that's classy. I like that....I jumped the shark a bit on transferring out; I'm holding off.

It's just frustrating when a critical site goes down for several hours in the middle of the day as opposed to announced in advance and done in the 3rd shift hours...

Just sayin' is all.

We understand your frustration. We ran into some technical issues and had to make emergency updates otherwise we would have given our clients more advanced notice.

As I mentioned peviously, it only affected our own home page and not our clients domains in anyway. All domains were still re-directing and resolving properly.

Other than a few DOS attacks we had to deal with last month, we've had outstanding uptime for several years.

Richard,

Are you guys ever going to a support ticket system as it seems most of the time when someone thinks you are ignoring them the actual email is lost?

We are in fact working on our own web based system at the moment.

We have tried several other systems but we find them too bulky and cumbersome to work with. Our version will be much faster and much more streamlined. This is a very high priority for us.

Everyone has a few bumps in the road along the way. Even NetSol It's to be expected. But not like Directi for a week or more
