Computer won't start

Last night, I left my computer on while playing MP3s. When I woke up in the morning, I noticed it was already turned off. When I turned it on again, it started and then suddenly went off again. Now when i try to use it, it won't start. I don't know if it's a power supply or a software problem.

What do you guys think?

When you turned it on, did it completely start up? Or did it kind of power up half way or so and then shut off?

it probably got too hot in your computer and burnt the motherboard or something..that usually makes your computer reboot a lot..doesnt seem to be a software problem...i mean..the only thing u were running were mp3's..so its most likely to be a hardware problem that happened overnight.

Unplug your power cable and plug it back and turn on the switch again and see if its working.( Completly remove the power cable from your system)

That has to be one of the worst pieces of advice I've ever seen. Since he was only playing MP3s there's no chance of it being a software problem? And you somehow concluded that his motherboard melted? It could be any number of things.

Thanks for the replies, people. I hope it's not a motherboard problem. Just got my PC a month ago. :p

Mach5Host, that's what it does everytime I try to turn it on.

That happened to me once with a really crappy PSU. You might want to check that, it could be any other numerous problems, but since that happened to me, I'm just passing it on.

I think it's a powersupply problem. Anyway since this is a new computer, just call your oem & they'd be able to run tests & fix it for you.
