mod_rewrite security

I was wondering if there were any security issues in enabling mod_rewrite in a virtual host environment?

Is it possible that misuse or misconfiguration could impact other users in a shared environment?

This is on Apache/2.0.54.

Thanks!

No. It won't hurt your site. Mod rewrite allow you to make your site more search engine friendly.
