Amazing optical illusion - Colour perception

I thought it was a prank video at first and so watched it all the way through without sound. It isn't a prank. It's amazing. Stare at the little black dot in the center of the screen....

Very cool. The sky retains its color for an especially long time

Doesn't work for me, I see black and white and the negative image type only.
Left eye alone, or right eye alone it works, but with both eyes, I can clearly not see color at the switch point(even on the large one)

Haha that's cool, I did it twice because I wasn't really paying attention the first time. I only saw it for about two seconds though.

I think it worked too well for me...
I was staring, and then all of a sudden it changed to color and I was like "so what" it flipped from neg to pos, and then it said at the end, "for a second it looked colored didnt it?"
So i watched it again, and didnt stare at the dot and was like... whoa, its b&w, but I saw color..
Thats cool! You are unique, just like everyone else.

Pretty nifty.
First time I managed to have it in colour for the rest of the video, then played it again and blinked and it changed to black & white.
Watched it a couple more times.. interesting.

Saw it on digg the other day, showed you how to make it and had a link to a few others. shame someone has ripped it to a video as it was much better as an image with a mouseover + had lots of info on how it worked.
pretty cool

Basically it wears out certain color receptors in your eyes, so that you see different colors until they go back to normal.
