SATA-IDE- SCSI HD? Where to learn?

Hey gang...

I was just visiting a page that said SCSI drives are great for real time video editing and audio editing. Since I do alot of that, where can I learn the differences between the three formats so I know if it's worth the money?

Thanks
Neil

You could do some searches on google, read specifications on various IDE, SATA, and SCSI models, and maybe even search around on wikipedia - that site has everything.

If you are really interested in maximum performance using single or non-raid drives look into the special AV drives. They have no ECC, which is absolutely a big no-no for a drive containing an OS or important data, but for AV its great. Single bit errors on a video or audio stream are no big deal and the performance gained by not doing ECC is noticable.
