Can anyone recommend an affordable Internet Fax service that allows you to receive faxes delivered to your email account and sent to a real phone number? eFax used to be free, not anymore. If you know any free service, that would be even better!
Best,

I checked efax's webpage, and it looks like they still offer a free service, in addition to their paid services.

It costs them money to send your fax to a real (non virtual) phone number, so I don't think you'll be able to find a good fax service completely for free.
What's wrong with efax' paid services by the way?

I cannot see where they are offering their service for free. Can you please point me to that page?

Yes, I am aware that it costs them money to send a fax. (Looking to receive them only btw). I am NOT looking for a free service though, just one that is affordable. I have no problems paying.

eFax costs only $18.00 (CAD) per month*, with a one-time $15.00 (CAD) fee to activate your account . Receiving faxes with a local eFax number is free, subject to the Customer Agreement. eFax charges $0.28 (CAD) per page* for faxes received at toll-free eFax numbers.

Their rates are ridiculous, way above their competition.

I still have a free efax number I got about 4 years ago, I only get about 4 faxes a year so it is all I really needed. So they do still have free service possibly just are not taking new signups now.
Actually here it is still free, maybe because you are in Canada they do not offer free service?

Thank you, Paul, for the link.
Its true, I won't get a local number for Canada. However, I will test them out.
