Burst Latency / Dropped Packets
Is anyone else seeing major packet loss / latency going through hostnoc?

Yes, very slow for most of the servers we have with them. I can't want to move.
EDIT: Forget the slowness - all down here.

Seems like there phones are down too, or they are not answering. Anyone know if they use VOIP?

Their phones worked for me. But, they said that they don't see a problem currently and asked me to send in a trace, which I did.

Yup - I'm moving all of the servers I have with them to layeredtech next month.

I would move today - but I just don’t have the time for all of that hassle yet. We need to do some serious planning.

If they would at least manage to stay online for like two weeks in a row. Some of my customers have been with me for years and are now leaving. This is a nightmare.

They are just going to say “it’s another switch problem - we wont refund you"
That’s where I draw the line.

Yeah, or "we`ve not been down...we just had 99.9 % packet loss"

Well, they have cut the latency in half (to 450 from 900+), so they must be working on it. No one is answering the telephone now, so I can't get an update. My bet would be on another DDoS that got through the Top Layer equipment again. When it's a switch, we usually see a total outage as opposed to the latency that we're seeing now.

Yeah but too much packet loss still... The pings I am getting are around 100 but still 70% packet loss which makes it almost unreachable.
I really wonder what`s up with that TopLayer equip they have. It either doesn`t work, or it`s not configured properly or they don`t have enough of it...

Actually, you pretty much summed it up. We are currently being hit by a pretty high packet-per-second ddos. Our toplayers stopped the attack for the most part, but the initial blast of the attack was high enough to cause the toplayers to shed some packets/introduce some latency. At this point, we are still being hit, but the toplayers seem to be handling it fine.
