How long to setup vps?

I understand 24 to 48 hours but do they mean starting the next day and don't count weekends? I signed up 5/18/06, afternoon.
My card has been charged and gone through so the money is in their bank.

Just wondering what one should expect from most VPS providers. Thanks

It depends. Some places do include weekends, others don't, Might be worth dropping their sales a line to see what they say

This depends on the provider and how they have their business rules defined. To actually set the VPS up it takes no longer then 2 hrs but it first has to get to the build or support team. 2 hrs for a Cpanel VPS but other control panels are much shorter in time. Some providers may not do this on the weekend. I can speak for them but it is possible.

I waited till it was over 48 hours and asked them nicely how much longer it would take. This was through their form mail because I don't have account yet to use support system. Which says its 24 hours.

Wow 2 hours, that seems really long. I paid extra for directmin so not sure if they will still install the free webmin or not. Maybe that takes some time.

2 hrs is how long Cpanel takes to install. It has nothing to do with Virtuozzo (if that is what your using). Directadmin is faster and Plesk is fast too. It is the Cpanel product that takes so long as it uses quite a bit of memory just in "idle" state. DA is light so 2 hrs wouldn't apply. Regardless, 48 hrs+ must be b/c they don't provision VPS's on the weekend. That is my assumption.
