Is buying a pro reseller account from godaddy.com a good idea ?

If not in right forum then pl move this thread.

========

Hi guys
Is buying a pro reseller account from godaddy.com a good idea ?

i searched a lot at their site in help files, but could not find. Their suppor tsyatem is not replying to my queries.

Does godaddys pro reseller account give the usual cpanel with all features ? or is it a different cpanel.
And is their reseller account manager different from WHM ?

I feel tempted to buy one , but still dunno if i should go for it. The only plus point is they offer domain registration service also in that plan

Thanks

If they are not responding to your question why you are still tempted to go with them, although alternate option are already available there.

As etechsupport said, if you can't get support now, what makes you think it will get any better if you signup? Personally I think domain registrar's should stay domain registrar's and leave the hosting alone.

Support is not your sales chat, so sending your inquiries to the wrong department will most likely take your messages longer to be responded to or even forever lost in the system.

The control panel is not CPanel. CPanel is for web site hosting, GoDaddy has its own control panel seperate for its web hosting and seperate for its domain management.

If they are giving you the control panel they give their clients, run away, as it is in my own and in many faithful converts' opinions, horrible.

I would definitely make sure that you are sending your inquires to the correct department. A company as big as GoDaddy.com would more than likely just simply click the 'Delete' button on an e-mail in the wrong place. Try giving them a call instead or look around on there contact page for a Sales Department e-mail address. I know that the form on there website is for technical inquires, so do make sure you direct your inquires to the correct department.

I have heard a lot of horror stories about GoDaddy.com and honestly I really do not see what people find so wrong with them. The only issue that I would ever consider addressing is the fact that you have to wait over 10 hours to get a response to an e-mail. That is something that I will put up with but about 80% of the people here probably will not. They do provide a pretty good service, and there really isn't anything wrong with them. eNom started out as a registrar and became a hosting company and what not... there is nothing wrong with there software at all. If the GoDaddy.com software and what not is that bad, I think that they would have gone out of business a LONG time ago (since they've been around for quite sometime).

Anyways, as far as the Pro Reseller goes I would say that its an "okay" choice. Depending on which products you want to sell (for example, if you only want to resell hosting) than I would suggest going with a hosting reseller maybe like www.hostgator.com or www.site5.com since they are cPanel resellers, and people will really like the fact that you have the cPanel control panel, as to the GoDaddy.com Web Hosting Control Panel. Most of the people just prefer it. Now, if you plan to just resell domains, then GoDaddy.com would be okay. However once again, for a more known/popular service I would suggest you check out www.enom.com or www.directi.com. They are one of the most popular Domain Registration resellers and they both have a program very similar to GoDaddy.com. You can resell ALL of there products and services for a low monthly fee and you just deposit some money into your account. -- One thing that I would like to point out about GoDaddy.com, is the fact that you can only receive your income/commissions with your reseller through a monthly check or bank wire.

Good luck .

DirectI is very good. Instead of joining them directly try any of their reseller beacuse recently they have increased the intial deposit to $175 which I think you can avoid by joining any big DirectI reseller. Also I have found many of their resellers are selling domains only for $6.75 or less.

I don't have any idea of their hosting but they are giving good margins for resellers.

For Domains go only for DirectI they are best and also they are India based so you have the option to pay them in Indian Rupees (best if, you have lots of Indian clients).

godaddy is specialized in domain names... find a company specialized in reseller hosting, they would be more professional

So what I gather is.. godaddy is relatively stable. No real problems as such.
But with them you cant really make your own customers.

Is that it ? It that is it, then I think its pretty ok.
Once you have 30-40 customers on their server, one can bu ya new server and shift them on to the new server.

I think that should be possible.

I think they are offering a good cpanel, whm, and other tools to manage your account. + domain registration feature, which is at par with any major company.

Anyway i would like to earn, without having to have the headache of managing th database servers , containing millions of registered domains.

If I am wrong then pl correct me.
