More domains = reseller?
If I have 7 domains with me (all are mine), would it be advisable to go with shared or reseller hosting? :/ I always pondered over this because I mean shared hosting would work but I see people having resellers if they have more than 3 domains or something :/

Definetely, reseller hosting will give you some more tools like managing all your accounts from one control panel and also the flexibility of having individual control panel for each domain. I would recommend reseller hosting with WHM/CPANEL as control panel.

I do not see why shared hosting would not be good for 7 domains. Depends if you want to manage those 7 domains from one single control panel or have 7 different control panels for those 7 domain names.
In my opinion, it would be best to go with shared hosting. You get total control from one single control panel, avoid the hassle of remembering 7 different passwords.

If you talking about cPanel/WHM, then yes - you'd probbably want to either be in a reseller (or multidomain) account. However, H-Sphere does true multi-domain hosting from one end user account - unlike cPanel where you need to remember passwords for each account, etc. It just makes the whole hosting experience that much easier

We can keep the same password for 7 domains
The idea of reseller is to provide control over separate accounts.

Okay thanks
When I first started, I had 2 domains on a shared hosting plan and it was easier but I didn't like the way I had to redirect my domains to something like:
maindomain.com/site2
:/ and I hated people finding my personal website!
p.s - yes I was referring to WHM/cpanel. I saw Plesk the other day and it looked cool as well!

Hmm, yes technically with cPanel the addons are done thru a redirect but this should be un-detectable for the public if done right...
Did you disable "directory browsing"?

I'm not aware of 'directory browsing' because I am at Dreamhost now and there's no cpanel :/
But will the 'maindomain.com/site' will appear in the search engines?

I think HSphere isn't the best CP for beginners, most people(i think) would prefer something simple as Cpanel.

No, is going to act as a totally separated web site for browsing it.

Yes, this is true - but, you still have to remember the 7 *usernames* .

I disagree - there are many skins that make H-Sphere look like cPanel (or at least that level of ease-of-use anyways).

Greetings Rorax,
Thank you for your comments on H-Sphere. But, I can't help but ask one thing. Have you ever personally utilized H-Sphere? cPanel is inherently very easy to 'break' at the user side. The add-on domain / parked domain system is and always has been a complete mess. Now, of course, cPanel is well renown as a hosting control panel, but you definitely cannot just say it's the best. I remember when I was introduced to H-Sphere, within the first 15 minutes I realized how much better it was than cPanel. The software is created by people who understand how to make an innovate, fully-featured, scalable control panel with many options for expansion to it's user. cPanel just doesn't have that. What does cPanel have? Bugs.
Anyhow, enough with the rambling. I'd like to hope that you got my point, but if not, feel free to post back.
Cheers,
P.S. H-Sphere is a total hosting solution. On the fly upgrades, built in billing & support system. cPanel and H-Sphere are two totally differnet beasts, but are often used for the same purpose.

I have used hsphere I liked the idea you could sell reseller acounts with h-sphere
but downside was it didnt run scripts as easily as cpanel and most users seem to
go for cpanel with fantistico so they can install certain php scripts with virtually a
click of a mouse was a pain for setting up turnkey websites just my opinion
