http://goohost.co.uk/ anyone use them?
I found this somewhere on this form an add for them was wandering if anyone has used them and what do you think of them.
It sounds too good to be true and most of the time it is. :-)

They are a UK business and do not have a contact address on the site which is a breech of distant selling regulations, that alone would put me off.

Always steer clear of 'unlimited' web hosts.

Crikey - not only have they directly nicked Google's favicon, but their logo is astoundingly similar to Google's (font-wise, not colour-wise).
Their logo even has 'beta' tagged on to it in a distinct Google style.
They even have a nice little 'TM' on their logo - who actually reckons it's a registered trademark?

Don't know if anyone else had this problem but it took ages for the page to load.
If you are looking for a British website hosting company I can recommend www.miniserve.co.uk. I currently hosting with them and they are great :-)

The first thing that would put me off is the sheer scale of what they are offering, 9 times outta 10 unlimited offers are too good to be true.
They have blatenetly copied some of googles designs, including the Google icon in the URL bar and the similarity to the font Google use. Also as before mentioned, they have the Beta tag that looks similair to google...
I think as apposed to actually offering a decent service, they are trying to fool people into thinking this run by google and so it must be a good service.
Steer clear in my opinion...

I won an auction for one year of unlimited Web hosting with GooHosts on eBay(TM) for $2.11 US.
So far, things seem to be working, and I am learning a lot about Linux servers. I have found the connection to be fast, even though I am connecting to England from Texas, USA.
I purchased this hosting so I had a lot of space to use for my hands-on workshop next February. The workshop is for the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA).
The hosting requirement is that 15 computers will need their own "sandbox" to learn to use Moodle(TM), and 15 computers will need to use their own, separate "sandbox" to install Moodle(TM).
A second requirement is that the solution be as inexpensive as possible since this is an Open Source promotion for teachers and school district personnel, and not a project where workshop costs can be passed on to participants.
So far things are proceeding well. But, I do need a "Plan B" in case this company goes out of business before the end of February, 2007.
Does anyone have suggestions for alternate solutions?

thing what most people are not aware of is that there's no such thing as "unlimited" yes there is un-metered, don't allways get temmpted when they say unlimited

They DO have a contact address and phone number. At least now anyway. I'd have nothing to worry about with them.
They are no more "unlimited" than many of the so-called established UK hosts.

Thing that most hosts are not aware of is that many people choose a host as if they are buying vegetables. "The more...the better".

The colors matched too a few months ago. I reported it to google and they changed it.
