Windows 2000 Software Firewall

We use the built in firewall on all our 2003 servers. But, we need a good software firewall solution for our 2000 servers.

Do you have any recommendations?

IPSEC seemed to cause issues when there were too many filters added or the server bandwidth utilization was high.

Has anyone used IPSEC in a production shared server environment?

yes, ipsec has been used and successfully configured in production servers handling more than 400 websites and 'hasnt' caused bandwidth or high cpu utilization issues till now

In network connections, you can click on TCP/IP settings and in click on Advanced and then click on Options Tab, and then you have option of TCP/IP filtering. you can filter TCP/UDP packets here.
