Howdy, I was managing a dedicated server for someone using 1&1 for some time and he let me host my own things on there as well, but just recently he's decided to shut down the server so I need to find somewhere else. I'd like to find out what else is available, here are my requirements:
High-bandwidth and throughput (most important)
TOS Policy that doesn't forbid IRC or BitTorrent
Serial console access would be preferred
Physical reset remotely would also be preferred
Bootable recovery environment would be awesome as well.
My budget is around $75 a month, although lower is better. Again, bandwidth and throughput are the two biggest concerns of mine.
CPU and Ram aren't that important to me, I'd prefer to have at least 512mb but could live with as low as 128mb if needed.
The OS doesn't matter, if it runs Linux I'll just run the Depenguinator on it and load FreeBSD, if it already has FreeBSD so much the better. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
