Managed.com ongoing problems [Mega Merge]

Hello,

I've got a server with managed.com and since 5 days, I am trying to solve some problems with them. The first one was that my root password has been change...Why and how? They never told me, but this one is solved.

The second one is that I received this email everyday :

S.M.A.R.T Errors on /dev/hda
From Command: /usr/sbin/smartctl -q errorsonly -H -l selftest -l error /dev/hda
ATA Error Count: 149 (device log contains only the most recent five errors)
Error 149 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40 hours
Error 148 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40 hours
Error 147 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40 hours
Error 146 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40 hours
Error 145 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 40 hours
----END /dev/hda--

They shoud change the harddisk(I sent 75$ for this job) but nothing is done.

And mos of all the server is down between 12 and 15hrs per day.

What can I do?

Have a read at their Service Agreement and see if theres anything in there that might entitle you to a refund, such as uptime guaruntees.

If your paying for managed hosting however, i'd expect better service that what you seem to be getting...

managed.com does not provide managed servers.

Yes they don't provide managed server. But when the server is down or you've got a hardware problem, they should do something, isn't it?

And answer on they support...It would be great.

That's a tad ironic given their name Managed.com.

I had servers with managed and their service is really bad!
I had my servers down 2 days and they didnt care less, so my advice to you is find another company.
In the hosting bussiness cheap services are usualy bad, managed is one of them

Server with Managed is down and they are not responding.

It's been down for 36 hours, my bill with them is current and I've sent 6 emails and left a bunch of messages on their phone. Nothing.

I have a ton of angry customers. What do I do? Looking at their history, Managed is spotty but help me guys what can I do now??

Managed.com forums are offline, they are not responding to my support requests either (one a day so far) and i've had no response from the 'live' chat support either. I'm really disappointed as I've had the server for about a year with few problems and they've been pretty good until recently but think it might be time to move on.

This is becoming really ridiculous. Still no response from them. I'm down for over 60 hours.

I need help!
Any other way to try to get a hold of them? I've tried phone, emails, support tickets, their live chat program that no one answers.

According to a posting in the other Managed.com thread (link to which I am unable to post as I'm a newbie poster) Managed.com rented their servers from Dediwebhost who state in the posting that these servers are now owned by WebHostPlus so it looks like we've been 'sold out'. I'm cutting my losses and moving to a new company.
