Mod_rewrite rules

Hi
Guys I hav shifted some my site to new server bt some of my mod_rewrite pages are nt working at new host?
can nybody guide me whats the problem?
when i contacted my webhost company they replied this

"mod_rewrite is working fine that is why it is redirecting to index page as this is how you have defined the rules. Please check the rules again and try to debug them to find out what part you are missing. If you need any assistance with the writing the rules, please hire a web developer or you can check with other users on"

If mod_rewrite was not working, you would have got Internal Server Error.

Please Help me

Post is mod_rewrite installed?

Let's do a simple check on your new host!

1. Create a file called one.htm and put in a line "I am # one" in this file.
2. Create a file called one.htm and put in a line "I am # two" in this file.

Now upload these files to root folder.

Next, in your .htaccess file, make these entries

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^one.htm$ two.htm

Now when you call one.htm, you should see "I am # two" on the screen. If you do, then mod_rewrite is installed.
