I tried Re-Newing my Website Domain Name a few weeks ago but I couldnt. Then I reolized that my account mannager acount with Hostingplex had gone. They did not respond, so I had no idea what to do, so I got in contact with Dave to let him know what was happening. He said the related account manager (for hostingplex) was gone and he'd try to resolve it through tucows. So far neither side has responded...
I was origionaly a client of Hostingplex, but my Forums kept going down quite often (early 2005) so I asked Dave kindly for some server space. He origionaly sent me to Hostingplex so he helped me out as he fealt bad I guess.
Today I spoke to Hostingplex over LiveChat for help, but it was not very helpfull either.
Now it seems they are holding my Domain. Does anyone know a solution to this? Because I need my Website back up and running asap.
Maybe one of you guys could help me speed things up a little by contacting Tucows to help speed things up a little bit, that would be much apreciated.
My domain name is: christian-rpg.net

Hello,
The domain you are referencing does not appear to be registered to you, now or previously, here is some information that may help you understand why we cannot directly assist you in this matter.

Just a few quick notes and clearups:
1. I have been in contact with Phil throughout the entire ordeal (and did attempt to get in contact with him about 3 months prior to expiration in order to transfer the domains over as I forsaw this occurring).
2. The related account manager account on hostingplex appears to have been deleted so I was unable to even renew the domain even if I tried. I have a feeling this was in order to ensure any related affiliate tracking statistics were removed.
3. Tucows is nonresponsive and has been, I contacted them ahead of time regarding my attempted transfer of a few domains being denied (unsure how Hostingplex put a stop to transfers -- perhaps they can see pending transfers within their tucows account) by Hostingplex. Over 6 domains are stuck with Hostingplex and I have no methods of getting them out as each transfer is being cancelled (without my consent).
I'm simply attempting to renew Phil's domain (although yes, registered in my name -- as well as quite a few other domains under that account that aren't mine: As there's no way of modifying whois details via the hp account manager else they would have been in Phil's name) to get his service back up and running.
I've already took a loss on the 800+ in stolen wages Kevin, no need to attempt to mess over more 3rd parties simply because of something between yourself and I.
Renew the domain as requested and invoice accordingly.

Tucows is being nonresponsive.
I've sent about 7 messages so far (throughout this month) and zero have received a response in return from Tucows.

David,
Will Hostingplex not change the whois to your customers info so he can transfer it?

It's currently expired -- while I'm aware there is a method of transferring even expired domains the domain's details are in fact my own: I've attempted to transfer it even before it had expired however it failed.
Unsure why, I tried a few additional domains that I have there like wakingdreamer.ca, mckendrick.ca and more but they also subsequently failed transferring. Not certain how .ca transfers function though.

Nothing beyond 'denied by registrar'.
It wasn't locked at the time either: The same error was received for the .ca's but I think theres some alternate method of transferring those.

The issue is now fully resolved. Tucows got in contact with me the other day (albeit days late) and set the domain as "active" so I could transfer out of Hostingplex's grip.
The process (beyond actually getting in contact with Tucows) was painstakingly simple.
Thread can be closed.
And once again thank you for your patience Phil, sorry to have had you go through this.
