In lasik, I think a doctor cuts a little part of your eye, which would almost be impossible to do yourself. Oh and I really wouldn't trust myself with things like these.

I know it's a joke, but still..

Haha yea. Although real doctors that do lasik would probably have glasses too.

No real site would depend on google adsense to support it. It's just a unique site that gets spread virally (like it was posted on WHT), and then the owner makes money via adsense.

Yeah, that's explained on the site. "The femtosecond laser cuts a small flap in the cornea of your eye. Then the excimer vaporizes a tiny section of the lens without damaging the surrounding tissue." It looks like you could easily do it yourself, because you just hold the laser unit in one place and basically it does all of the work, scanning your eye to see where to do the cutting and where to do the vaporizing.

Pretty cool, and I might think about getting one but I just spent my spare $100 on a Heart Valve In A Box, so after I put that in myself this weekend I'll think about the lasik thing... maybe for next weekend.
