Hi, Anyone else having problems with http://devotedhost.biz The server's load has been going sky high for the past week, I have emailed support and there reply was spammers on there server which there have fixed.

And today the mysql is down form 7:00 am its over 5 hours now. Support team has not replied and I am getting very angry

You are on their fuzzy server. Their status pages show it as the only server that's having problems (Apache down at the moment). http://devotedhost.biz/index.php?s=servers&id=1

We may of course comment and speculate on their efficiency, but I see little reason to think they're not working to solve the issue.

We had some problems with that server and I won't go into it any further than that. You're welcome to contact us for compensation as the downtime was much higher than what is acceptable.

As for it being overloaded comment, every host from time to time is going to deal with a clients account having out of date scripts and being exploited. After being exploited being used to send spam which will cause a server to be slower. Granted during this time we only saw one outage when this happened. But that's just the nature of the business when you offer reseller accounts you can't control who they choose to let signup or actively asking their clients to update things. We just try to act on any problems they produce when it happens.

Anyways I don't think we overload our servers by any means looking right now all our servers are below a 2.0 load average while they are all processing web stats. This is quite acceptable considering each machine is of a dual cpu 2gb ram variety. Just as you start to have many servers the chances of one having a problem just increases as you're having more and more hardware and the chance of failures at that level as well as the number of clients to cause a problem on one machine increases as well.

So to sum it up if you wish to receive compensation contact us about it.
