    Rsync - backup question

    Hello,

Does rsync run when local backup is taken. I see some rsync processes 10 minutes after the last account in the list was backed up. Do you think this rsyn process could be related to backup ?

Its local full backup enabled on server

Depends on what software you're talking about? Rsync is generally used for most backup processes so I wouldn't be suprised to see it running when your backup crons set.

I know local incremental backup and remote ftp backup use rsync command. Need to know about local full backup.

I found rsync processes, and wanted to check if its related.

Thank you Ramprage for your response.

What are you using to create the backups is what Ramprage is asking.

Yes. it is cpanel backup. And server crashes when daily backup is enabled. Can you provide some suggestions ??

I will put the situation as a logical statement:

    1) Backup "sometimes" get completed without crashing server.
    2) There is a more chance of server to crash that day when daily backup is set to run.
    3) It doesnt crash when daily backup is disabled.

I ran fsck on backup drive and did not show errors.

    I am totally lost!

    Thanks for your help.
