Just a reminder for all you motorcyclist out there on how close to death you are when you don't pay attention. One of my good friends passed away early Sunday morning after smashing his Suzuki into an SUV, bouncing off it, and flying 40 feet into the air, into a tree, and to his death.

That is odd... yesterday I trying to explain why I gave up motorcycles. I used to drive fast as well.

I am sorry you lost a good friend Richard. It is very important to pay attention while driving anything. It only takes a second and then it is over. Just remember all the good times you have had with your friend.

I'm doing great right now. It's not going to sink in until I leave to drive from Chicago to the middle of Florida for the Thursday ceremony :-\ And to think... I was seriously about to go out and purchase the exact same motorcylce he owned. I think I'll stick to my big gas-guzzling SUV for right now.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It seems this week, like many, is full of bad news and stories that aren't the happiest. Still, things will improve, and you will remember your friend's many good qualities.
