TopLayer Spam?

Yesterday, I received a spam e-mail from a company I've never visited before, using an e-mail address only listed on a domain name (Nowhere on the WWW).

http://pastebin.com/607525

It's the typical "I tried to call you today" message, advertising services I did not request information on, nor did I even know really existed as I am not familar with TopLayer.

Has anyone else received such advertising or am I just that lucky?

My reply to the e-mail:

Dear Kane,

Sorry I missed your call, but I did not request such information from your company nor did I get a call from anyone claiming to be from TopLayer.com. I can only assume this is spam and have taken the necessary steps to prevent further advertising from you entering my inbox.

The mistake made here is this is a brand new e-mail address only existing on a WHOIS record. I didn't request any information from you, I don't know you and you don't know me.

I've reported your SMTP IP address to the various spam databases (RBL's) and to Gmail. Have a wonderful day and good luck with your DDoS migration services -- I'm sure someone will bite.

Amazing! Not 5 minutes after sending that e-mail, I get a call to the telephone number listed on the WHOIS record, and it's TopLayer.com saying "I apologize for the spam. We did get your information from WHOIS and in no way did I mean for this to be spam. I am regional manager for TopLayer and we are a respected company that does no spam. I just wanted to call to apologize once again you will receive no further e-mail from us."
