No more Premium Membership
Well today I have come online to see that their is no more Premium link in the top bar and it has been removed from my.inetinteractive.com.
Where do I find information about the Premium Membership?
Complete details about WebHostingTalk.com's Premium Membership Program can be found at:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/premium.php
Do we need Premium to post in the advertisement sections? Do current Premium members get their money back?
So what's going on?

More information arriving soon.
But, suffice it to say that the Premium Membership is in a phase.
To answer your questions:
Non Premium Members can post in the advertising forums.
Current Premium Members won't get money back, because they'll get what they paid for.
Premium Membership is not a premium at this time.Last edited by SoftWareRevue; 03-14-2006 at 02:37 PM. Reason: Thread opened.

I really did like the idea of Premium Memberships personally (had one for a short time) it would just be nice to see a feature set that the average user (non-wht advertiser) would find more useful. I personally would like to see it come back with a few new additions down the road.

I'd hate to see the Premium membership go up in smoke. I really enjoyed some of the features of the premium membership and especially the "premium member" bar under my username. I don't want to give that up when my current Premium Membership subscription expires.

SWR already said that iNet will be making an announcement soon.
I'm going to look on the positive side and assume that they're finally going to revamp it.0

I personally didn't like the feature. I paid for it for a while. All it did was give access to a few extra forums that were empty anyway..nothing stimulating really.
I would like to see it scrapped...0

Personally never noticed this Premium Membership thing.
You pay to have this thing under your name? I don't hear of any other features it brings..
It's certainly not something that should be used to represent "status" or "respect" anyway. So what's the use? I say scrap it.0

From what I heard the T-Shirts were pretty average, and there was a bunch of trouble getting them out [people not getting it etc]. I didn't gvie iNet enough money for a shirt though
I'd say the private messages and ability to hide certain forums are the only real benefits.
WHT definitely doesn't need any more money. They've got to be making loads as it is.0

Premium members received a 25% discount on all advertisement (sticky, etc) . While I don't know if it applied to banners, I know it applied to stickies, and I made it pay off both times I used it, very well, even.

Since taking ownership of iNET and WHT, we have been listening to your feedback. One of the things that became clear is that we need to rethink WHT premium memberships.
While we figure out what to do with premium memberships, we have stopped accepting new members and membership renewals. If you are a current premium member, rest assured that you will continue to receive the full benefits of membership. T-shirts are being printed and will be delivered. Premium forums will continue. And... yes... premium members will continue to receive a discount on advertising.
I can say definitively that we plan to get out of the t-shirt business. As many of you have pointed out, we just aren't good at it! If there is interest from the community, we may make shirts available for purchase through a printing/fulfilment service such as CafePress.
In the meatime, we'd like your suggestions on where to take premium memberships and the features currently included in premium memberships. We're listening!0

I don't see the point. Having the premium tag basically means you gave some money to INet. That's all it does. It tells everyone, you have given money to INet...nothing else.0
