yep I've tried this time.
And I found a couple of spanish sites liek menealo.net or something like that.

But by similar, sorry, I didn't expain it well, I was thinking about similar and even though not as successful as digg, but quite successful.

Start your own using the pligg codebase instead. :p

Free and actively developed: I started a few myself but haven't pushed them just yet.

Note: Pligg is based on the menealo codebase, basically a fork though now that they've translated it.

At the start digg.com was good, now it is simply seems like a bunch of kids posting all kinds of crap hoping to get links to their blogs. As for slashdot, IT seems to have become very boring lately.

I would recommend digg's podcast, diggnation. They talk about all sorts of technology, and discuss different sites of interest that have been "dugg" on their site.
