I've browsed the shared offers for quite some time now but it's just too much. I just want about 200MB space, PHP4 and perhaps 2 SQL databases and an included domainregistration. I can pay with paypal and there's currently $35,- in my paypal account. Is there ANYONE that can host my website for $35,-/year with such little specs? I only wanna test out my scripts, that's all.
<snipped>
Thanks,
Jasper
I am currently hosted at servage, and I got plenty of space but I don't wanna use that for this. Just my wicked way of thinking...

Well, you can get a free .info domain at 1and1.com, and I'm sure you could find a decent host for your budget.

Small plans like that are harder to find these days. If you do find one, it's usually way overpriced because the hosting provider is still stuck in the 90's or because they offer exceptional service.
I think it would be in your best interest to find a list of hosts you would consider using, and then email their sales department to see if they can match your requirements.
Of course you could also find a company offering 50GB of diskspace and 2000GB of transfer for just a few dollars a month.. I am assuming though, you want something a little more realible than that.

Jasper,
What control panel are you using? For the price you want it for you can find yourself a reliable host. Is this for just 1 domain or several?
Thanks,
Jay

Hello J,
it's just for one domain. I'm currently using the Servage panel and have experience with cPanel.

I don't ever use a localhost PHP server, because then the variables like connectionspeeds and such get lost. And another thing is that I don't understand those packages that are offered to get PHP/SQL on a windows machine. but thanks for the tip though
