My host is down for 15 min and counting.

I am not going say who my hosting company is.

I just purchased a reseller account with this company for $20.00/m
All my sites are down.
It's been 15 minutes and still counting.
I bought this plan after reading a lot of good reviews from WHT.

This brings me to this question.

Who provides good uptime? who? please let me know.

rackspace provide a 100% network gaurantee, dunno about the actual box.

my host is currently down, and I've had several hours worth of downtime pretty much everyday this week..

If it was 15 minutes of downtime a day, then yes that would be a big deal. But 15 minutes every full moon isn't. Servers need to be rebooted, upgrades have to happen...

- Does the company have an uptime guarantee?
- Were there any notices/explanations for the downtime?
- Have you contacted support?
- Are your DNS settings correct?
- Is the host's site still working?
- Can you access your control panel?

If you answer these, it can help give a better idea of what's wrong.

There could be many reasons for this problem;

Server maintenance is normally planned on these servers, you might wanna inquire whether this is going to take place ~ upgrades, moves etc?

What do customer support say?

It's been down for 30 minutes and still counting.
I'm not asking 100% uptime, but... I want some reliability.
I have had this host for a month and I'm already down 30 minutes.

I currently have a pair.com account also.
They NEVER went down on me in last 4 years that I know of.
I'm keeping my important sites at pair right now. Thank God.

I am willing to pay $30.00/mo, if I can fine a host who's reliable as pair, and offers 40+ domains with Fantastico.

It's just so difficult to find a host that WORKS.
Somebody help...

Nope,
Remember. Pricing and "good deals" isn't everything. I rather spend alot of cash on a very well supported dedicated server rather than get a cheap one that crashes daily.
Just my 2c

Thanks Jmweb.
I really get driven crazy when I see an advertisement in the newspaper and it advertises like 20 GB of space and 200 Gb transfer for $9. I know I can't compete with that, but if the client wants horrable service and possabily lose their data to cheap hardware. Let them do so. Most of my clients have come from horror stories with horrable hosts.

Same here! I consider our target market to be the more mature webmasters whom are looking for quality and not just looking at price as there are a lot of cheaper hosts out there. Heck I am sure you can now find someone offering 40 gb space with 1 tb bandwidth for $10 a month.
