explain this phenom : php coding mystery?

I have a very simple, very ugly shopping page setup that i rushed together:

beatmotorsports.com

in the meantime ive been monitoring traffic and trying to understand the users coming etc etc. in the error pages i am getting a TON of traffic to

beatmotorsports.com/inventory

so i put a page there:

beatmotorsports.com/inventory/index.php

which basically just sends me an email when someone reaches there with the page that referred them, and their IP address (just so i could tell who was me and who wasnt)

so the referring pages i expected to be some forum or advertisment but theyre not, theyre my own pages:

they came from:http://beatmotorsports.com/inventory/body.php and their IP was 68.112.240.225
they came from:http://www.beatmotorsports.com/inventory/chassis1.php and their IP was 205.141.247.28
they came from:http://www.beatmotorsports.com/inventory/chassis1.php and their IP was 68.108.95.225
they came from:http://www.beatmotorsports.com/inventory/interior3.php and their IP was 87.196.130.176

so what the heck is this? what about my code is causing the inventory directory to be accessed? i think im just misunderstanding my logs or the server technology.

TIA

Blake

It seems people are going to your website and then clicking on the inventory page.

If this is the case-- to get the real referrer information, put the logging script on your main page, and/or store the refer information in a variable (or maybe even a cookie) and then when the user visits inventory/index.php, have it email you, etc.

In your source, you do have a link to /index.php, even though there is nothing that is linked, it is still there. Perhaps that is causing some of it? (doubtful, but that's all I can come up with right now)

Have you seen this code for instance on your body.php file?
Code:
&nbsp;<a href="http://beatmotorsports.com/index.php">Home</a>&nbsp;<a href="index.php"></a></font></td>
It looks like the empty link would be a link to /inventory that came from inventory/body.php

You have these empty links in several places throughout the page. I would clean up all that mess and see if it fixed anything. Maybe in some browser the empty links are showing clickable or something.
