Hi,
I'm looking for a host willing to host my site. (Not sure if I can post it here, check my profile)
The site generates arround 3 to 6GB a day, so at least a monthly transfer of 150GB is required
And at least 600MB is enough room for now.
I also need at least 2 subdomains (forum and tables)
And most important, I need an open minded admin.
The site contains a open source tool designed to give users the upperhand in games (designed for single player games in windows, but some users are quite iventive). It does that by debugging and dissecting the memory of the game. Part of this is a device driver that does kernelmode debugging and process access so you get complete control over the memory. (Some games block access, this circumvents it)
Also, the tool only gives access to your computer. It can not hack other people in any way. And the more advanced stuff, like kernel debugging, is only possible when installed by the admin account)
Problem is that the device driver is detected by some annoying anti-virus tools as a rootkit trojan , namely norton and mcafee (in a way it does share some technology of those things, but has no design for mallicious intend)
So expect some mails from panicing users that don't read the notice that some antivirus tools give a false positive.
Also, the forum contains discussions about the source, editing it, and generally helping people. But also discussions about how to cheat the bast in games, and sometimes even how to cheat in online games.
Even though I will not not help them with cheating in online games, I do not intend on deleting their posts or banning them for just discussing it and teaching others how to cheat.
So, also expect mails from some people that don't agree with the discussions on there
I say this because my previous host, servage.net, canceled my account after a month with reason: "it is used to spread trojan rootkits and exploite vulnerabilities in software."
I prefer if it is possible to pay monthly or every 3-4 months, because I learned my lesson with servage for which I paid a year.
I'm willing to pay arround $10-$15/month
so, anyone know a host that allows a site such as mine ?

150GB of bandwidth requirement, you might want to increase your budget a little bit. Try searching on www.findmyhosting.com

I think he should be able to find a host within his budget, but increasing it would never hurt...

I can search, but the most importan requirement :"admin that doesn't get scared away by angry emails" isn't a option on the search list

I think that's a large requirement for the small budget. You may have to give up some qaulity to be able to get those prices.
I don't mean to flame but I'm surprised how many people want so much for so little now a days.
