Worst hosting company in the known universe!

Webhostplus is simply the *WORST* hosting company in the known universe. I have been in the internet scene since 1991. I have dealt with many hosting firms but never faced such a reluctant bad service. I've read many bad reviews on them before signing up, but comparing their price with others, I had decided to go and give a try! Oh well.. A total mistake!

1- They claim that they have 99.9 uptime. This is a total lie. I have been with them for only 2 months and I had already over 5 major downtimes. 2 of my downtimes lasted over 2 days!!

2- Their is no way to reach their support. They either hang up on you or never asnwer.

3- Their support personell is a total disaster. They simply have no idea of what they are doing. If they have the same attitude in their real life, they have no life at all.

4- Their servers are over crowded and sometimes get *very* slow.

5- Our VPS is currently down for over 5 hours. No one cared to answer our support requests.

I think webhostplus should be considered as a fraudelent company and legal action should be taken against them. I talked with my attorney and we are thinking about to sue them. If you wish to contribute to our legal action against them, please message me.

Sorry to hear of your problems with them Sometimes shows that you pay for what you get... Good luck on the legal action to at least get your money back!

I sympathise with your problems, just that I don't get it when you say they should be considered a fraudalent company. Just why is it so? I read about the problems you are allegedly facing and also the downtime which may not meet their 99.9% claim. But that does not necessary mean they are fraudalent. What did their TOS or SLA says? Maybe you would like to give us more details.

I actually tried out web host plus before i got a dedicated server.

Heres my short review-
The first layer support staff didnt know too much. They always had to go ask. Thats not a major problem, but then again, they are live support. Maybe they should know a bit more.

When ever something was wrong, like the servers terminal server licences were all used, they would run from the support desk and avoid all until it was fixed.

I ended up leaving them because they were jamming their servers with many more VPS than they said that they would and didnt even have enough terminal server licenses to cover it so each account could have their alotted two. I wasnt even able to log in half the time due to this.

Eventually, i got fed up with their service, support, and answers. Asked for a refund, got it, and then left.

Hang on, this thread is a dupe of a comment posted in the thread I just linked.
Hmmm... out to ruin a reputation?

That was a poor example as to compare to what we received. If you noticed, they closed their accounts after a few days. I did after two weeks or so. They have a great response time when something isnt wrong

All in all, i would give them a 4/10.

I must says that their download speeds TO the servers were amazing. I love it when datacenters dont limit the download speeds. But thats not the point here

Every time i went into the task manager, the CPU was clocking in at 70-90% usage. The ram was completely eaten up. Network resources were at about 30% on average.

Took minutes for the VPS to load up in RDC.

With my dedicated windows server, ive got no problems. everythign is intantaneous. I love it.

Just a word of advice, I'm all for hearing opinions and reviews, but one put like this doesn't exactly make me feel like it's valid, sounds like a disgruntled customer to me. Maybe if we could have a recount of what happened, dates of downtime, average response times for support emails, things like that, and avoiding comments like what is quoted below then you could show that this is a valid complaint.

This is probably a little bit of an overexaggeration.

You get what you pay for, if you read bad reviews, chances are there's a reason their price is so good.

Did you need a personal attack on them? They are just doing their job, no need for this.

Again, nothing fraudulent here, I think you received the service you paid for, good luck with the lawsuit.

For one, I doubt you talked to your attorney. Been my experience that 99.9% of the time when ppl say they are going to sue or have "talked to their attorney and going to take legal action", they are blowing smoke out of a place that rarely sees light.

It's hosting. Got a bad host? Move to a new one. I doubt any competent attorney would advice sueing over a few dollars lost on bad hosting.

This is not saying that you're wrong about the host being bad, never heard of them before to be honest, you could be 100% right or you could be overstating the problem, who knows. But please spare us the "taking legal action" rethoric..been way over played at WHT..lol.

Best wishes in your search for a good host, but I would suggest next time you don't look at the price tag and pay attention to the reviews.

Yours is a mentality that I'll never understand, but which illustrates perfectly how companies known for consistent poor service manage to stay in business

I hope you learned something. Odds are you probably didn't.

It was good that you admit to being a fool at signup time. You almost had me going until you threw in the lawyer comment and now look foolish all over again.
