New account - pay-pal.com

I have recently received a new account and is the first to raise me concern in the last two years I have been selling hosting.

The domain is Pay-Pal.com and the customer set up an alias, rather worryingly, paypal.com.webscr.m8ywebhosting.co.uk pointing to pay-pal.com

There is nothing in his site at the moment so it's not major, just plain weird!

from a quick google, the site is an 'online forum for online payment systems'

Has anyone ever come across this?

I would refund his money, and cancel the account. You don't need the potential problems... especially since the term "paypal" and various forms of it (like "pay-pal") are trademarked.

More then likely, it's a scam.

Try calling the credit card holder and have a chat with them....

I would never setup an account like pay-pal.com but I guess with the transaction 'under review' lesson learned

I would do the same, I would never want my servers to be used for ripping off someone's personal data.

Don't be afraid to kick him out. You dont need him and dont worry about him giving you a bad name. most people are smart enough to ignore a guy like that.
Hard luck on getting him in the first place tho.
