Please can you let me know of any tried and tested VPS suppliers where the datacenter is based in UK.

I use Crystal-VPS UK.

They use Xen 3.0 and their servers are based in Meridian Gate, London.

The ping times are around 14ms to myself here down south, very fast service also.

I think their website is still under development but contact their Sales team and they'll quote you for some packages.

They operate their own fully redundant Tier 2 Cisco & Juniper based network and use high end Dell servers for customer machines (including VPS servers). They have points of presence in both Telehouse and Redbus Soverign House.

We use them for transit but also have a VPS and the service is top notch.

yeah...eurovps dot com are meant to be very good indeed. I am thinking of going with them any day and have been looking long and hard

their benefits are a sub 30ms ping time from the UK as they are only in the Netherlands (20 min ferry journey iirc) and they have great pricing thats in euros and MUCH cheaper than the UK offerings

You can't go wrong with a2b2 - I would recommend them as well having a VPS for a development project I am leading.
