Attention! Do Not Use Hostdepartment.com


I just hade like the Worste Talk with the Hostdepartment.com Support/abuse crew.
My case was that i could not enter my domain and my privat site i bought on there,so i tried to e-mail them (like 2 hours ago or somthing )
and NONE! but that was Okay when i found out they did hade some problems with there : "Our Root DNS server in our Domain regsitrant" Okay then..
now my Problem was .why the hell did i not get ANY e-mail about this problem? to Explaine it to me? the "TECH DUDE " anwser was "Harry Maxwell: NOT ALL users are having same problem.
Harry Maxwell: That's Why
.."
Oh so, allright i asked him "So ,Because like 30% of your users dont got that problem (just a guess) the rest 70% wont get a e-mail? how do that Work ?
... and NO responce ..
10mins later..
"
Harry Maxwell: Look. If you want to get downtime compensation jsut send it to BillingSupport@hostdepartment.com"

Alright, i was done with this dude he totally used a bad "attitude "
over for me,so i was connected to the abuse department,

and it went bad Agian,This guy was REALLY a joke

after i got a anger flip and still was waiting for his responce (15 mins later)

Oh my God "sorry for the delay Morten" What is that?
Well i found out that Hostdepartment.com REALLY lack of Real knowledge (they might be big but they suck) there support Suck (really bad) Uptime(omg )
I Am now gonna Stop this and get refund+ Some credit + I am gonna report it to AAC & http://badbusinessbureau.com/
Anyway, DONT USE THEM! - I am Out

Yeah Well Sorry,I was talking on phone with Some dude from HP its simpel,
i asked why did i not get a notic About this problem? Due to i have lost money on this,1: They did not care 2: Slow (VERRY SLOW responce) 3: Do what ever you want attuide 4: They Just Told me to go and TRY to get some credit because **** happens.. oh yeah it do,But its YOUR job to Fix it , its ridiculous ,hope this can help you, I am quiet Busy TRYING to get some Credit..and oh yeah now the "closed " the support for me "we are on a break"

Sounds like he had some down time, asked a tech about it, and he feels the tech had a bad attitude so he went to the abuse department for some reason or another and they ignored him for 15 minutes and so now the company is evil and bad and they will be the cause of the end of the world.

Crap. I figured AOL would cause the world to end, not Hostdepartment.

r00ts: was this downtime because of a DNS issue, or server, or your website or what?

Actually, I believe it will be helpful if frustrated people try to cool off before going public... and I have the feeling there's two sides to this story!

If their DNS server is down, I doubt you would have gotten any emails at all. And if I did a google for "any-company I choose 'suck'" I'm pretty sure I'll find just about anything.

Don't get me wrong r00ts, I understand your angry, but maybe calming down and looking at the whole picture first, you may get better results.

No,They could e-mail ,Because they Told me Like a week ago I asked about question related to Downtime "Oh yeah we got a "backup" e-mail " so, But however there support suck and you might wont agree to that before you try it yourself

Only thing that I see that he should be mad at is when the support agent said "Look. If you want to get downtime compensation jsut send it to BillingSupport@hostdepartment.com"

A 15 minute simple late reply would also make a person mad also.

Not every companies are Obligated to send the clients an email to problems they didn't expect before ?

How long have you been with them ? They've been working just fine with us here ?

Also, it's true that you need to cool off your head first before shouting and yelling out of people. Act more wisely.

I'll ask the tech guy (Harry) about this. I often worked with him before solving my problems.

lol you go ahead and ask him,.i dont think he really likes me anymore,however I have been with them like 2years,due to this is not my first order,i have like ordered 7 diffrent domains,and hosting too etc etc,Well its Normal manner to Tell your clients whats wrong? ehh?
