Hey, i am looking for a good server management company. platinum server management sounds good to me and price is good too, i am wondering if someone has a server managed by them already? acc. to them they were formarly known as Fast Server Management.

We've used them before we started to in-house everything. They are pretty good and I'd recommend them.

I've never used them, so I can't say they are good or bad. There are many reviews here about them though.

We've always used Server Wizards for anything that we don't do in-house, and we've always been happy with their support.

I have a question. Suppose you have a DDOS attack in one of your servers, will they be there to help you out?

They can most likely do some filtering but hardware is the best way to stop a DDOS or atleast slow it down.

If you have time, please elaborate on that Adam.

What kind of hardware would really help build a nice shield against such attacks?

You really cannot do much against a DDoS attack. The datacenter can help mitigate the attack, but even then they cannot stop it entirely. The hardware Adam is referring to is probably the likes of Cisco Guard which costs ~ $75,000

Mod_evasive will help slightly, not enough to make any sort of difference.
