Server problem, and I'm not available to resolve. need to hire

Hello,

I've got a problem with one of my servers, and I'm not available to fix it. I need to find a technical service that I could hire for a job.

It's a small job. I've got one server that just stops responding while all the service crons are running. It happens FAR too frequently now. As in this morning again. I wasn't available, and a server with 150 domains on it was down 5 hours.

Would anyone suggest a person or service that could fix this? Obviously I'll pay. but I'm stumped. Here's the log entry where it dies.

Jan 24 04:25:09 ww5 su(pam_unix)[22462]: session opened for user postgres by (uid=0)
Jan 24 04:25:09 ww5 su(pam_unix)[22462]: session closed for user postgres
Jan 24 09:36:49 ww5 syslogd 1.4.1: restart.

If anyone has any suggestion on who could troubleshoot this please let me know. I have a business partner but he's on hiatus and I'm not as technical as he is.

thanks for any suggestions.

I'd ensure you are upto date with the latest kernel and stuff for FC1(check fedora legacy although I think they may have stopped supporting FC1 already). It could be a hardware issue if it's just freezing. You could check what sort of temperature it's running at, perhaps setup something to log the temperature every few mins if you've got lm_sensors... I assume it needed a reboot to come back up? I guess the box is now about 3/4 years old if it's running FC1?

Yeah pretty close. I think it's closer to a year.

Here's the problem. I don't know Ensim.

I had a partner that is a linux guru. but after 6 years of being business partners, he literally dropped off the face of the earth. So it really stuck me in a bad spot. This was about 90 days ago.

I know that at one point we had issues with server spedd at around 6am due to the log processing and other maintenance from Ensim. But he split the cron jobs up and move some things around to allieviate that.

The part that concerns me is you can't just run yum and update everything. Ensim will surely not like at least one of the packages if not more. What's worse than that is I don't have anywhere near the time for this. That's why I was asking about someone that contracts work so I could just pay for the service until I figure out what the heck I'm going to do. I really want to move these sites over to Plesk.

I was also wrong about the domain count, there are 176 domains.
