Not really, unless you count the D.C. metro. We used to have space at the Level(3) Synergy site in Richmond. It's really nice, but it's Level(3) only transit. USLEC supposedly has a facility in Norfolk, but I don't have much knowledge about it.

Ashburn, VA has an equinix facility, that'd be your best bet in my mind (just outside of Washington, DC). You can find plenty of companies in there.

I would second this... Equinix Ashburn is chock-full of carriers and some tier 2 providers as well. It's not the cheapest option, but certainly good for customers looking for the best quality.

Propcgamer, I'd be interested to know where you ended up on this. Did you make your decision yet?

All...

I noticed that Defender Hosting has a "Coming Soon" site. Are they for real?

Not yet, but i think i am most likely going to end up going to ptptech, i have been monitoring their server stats page and using their looking glass quite a bit, they seem to be a pretty decent provider from the aspect of them fixing network issues when they arrise. But cant speak 100% confidently without an actual customer testomony.
