This is a curious one.... I've been having problems with http://www.cg-uk.com -
when I first try and access the website it fails, saying the server cannot
be found. When I refresh the page, however, it finds if fine.

Similarly, when I do a tracert on cg-uk.com, the first time it comes up with
'unable to resolve target system name...'.
Yet if I do a tracert immediately afterwards it finds it without any
problems.

Curious. Any ideas peeps?

That is odd, I get the same results.
Have you tried contacting FASTHOSTS.CO.UK yet about the problem? Since the control your dns they will be the ones that need to apply a solution. There may be a problem with thier dns server that they are aware of.

Question Seems to be...

...a problem with the zone file configuration, so looks like Fasthosts will have to make sure the domain is all set up correctly etc.etc.

dns

It seems that 3 out of 4 dns servers are not correctly configured. This is the outcome of DNS Analyzer:

o It was not possible to contact any of the authoritative name servers
It was not possible to contact any of the name servers that are
authoritative for the zone. No further testing of the zone will
be possible.

I'm having dns problems too, that is why I downloaded this 7 day's try thing from men and mice.

Sarcasme: I have a great server with almost no downtime at all (never had a downtime), but the dns is causing troubles (dns of another noc). Now all clients have their web-sites up and running on their IP's but cannot be reached by domain.
