A URL for Ocean Host would be helpful. They don't show up on a search of their own name on Google.

I am not sure those Hosting Speeds rankings are correct. From f9-Gene's link:
Quote:
Local server response time is - ms.
Response time rank by country: 818.

Average world wide server response time is - * ms.
Response time Rank world wide: 818.

Average 100kb page load time is - ** s based on 0 page load speed checks. These 0 page load tests during the past 3 days were performed by 0 unique visitor IP's from 1 sites of registered users which host their site with Ocean Host.

In total 0 speed tests have been performed on this host. Page load average is based on page load results of the last 3 days. If you are with this host and want to see how this host ranks in our speed ranking based on results from your server with them, please sign up for our project and put this host to the test.
Page load Rank: 818.

Average LAN page load time is - *** s based on 0 LAN switching capacity speed checks.
LAN load Rank: 818.
The * means a test was not conducted. Yet the host is given a rank based on a test that wasn't run??? Maybe I'm missing something here and somebody can fill me in.

The domain was registered in December of 2004 which should give you a pretty good idea about how long they have been in business. I could not find any reviews either positive or negative.

Things to consider:
Most people will post about negative experiences (couldn't find any)
Most people will not post about positive experiences (same as above)

Your best bet is to test out their support before you decide to use them. This can be accomplished by contacting there support department at different hours throughout the day or night and seeing how long they take to respond. You can also ask them if they have any clients who would be willing to describe the service they have been receiving.

I have yet to hear of that host. The name is a little unusual.... I would do a google search, and search here to see if anything turns hopes. Also check hostsearch.

Best of luck.

this is true... however, if the host has a 30 back guarantee and you tested out support prior it may be worth a try. It just takes a little investigating prior to signing up.

When new companies come into the market they are still able to provide the same quality of service as one that has been around for years.

The girl in the corner's giving the "OK" sign, so it's obviously a good company.

No seriously, they offer plans with unmetered bandwidth, so I'm not sure how much I'd trust them.

And click on "Domains"...you'd think they could integrate that a little better...

While a website is technically a storefront, it doesn't mean the company doesn't provide good support.

I'd be more worried about offering unmetered than of a slightly non-functional website
