Let's cut to the chase. I run a number of websites and I grew out from my old reseller account.
I didn't want to go dedicated because I don't think I need that, yet.
So it was time for me to get a VPS. I looked at some reviews here for various VPS companies and I compared plans (under $50) and support.
SLHOST was running an offer in the VPS forum, so I took them up on it. Activation was
FAST (we're talking about a couple of hours).
Being the person that I am, I just dove into WHM, changed some things, and played around with my new VPS (uh oh, bad idea).
These guys were under a DDOS attack, and they somehow maintained their support levels and helped me fix my custom nameservers that I messed up.
Every message from Josh, Rob, Brett, Luke, and Pat was professional and courteous. These guys know what they're doing and they walk the walk.
Just today (the day after XMAS) I sent them a message to enable reverse DNS on my mailservers. When I got back to my computer, they've already completed the request.
I'm personally happy that I've found a hosting company that gets it. If you start outgrowing your reseller account, you've gotta get in touch with slhost for a VPS.
I'll put in another hosting review 6 months down the line.
