Not sure how long it has been the way it is, but me likee. I don't use yahoo mail (spam account) but for some reason today I was bored and logged in. They've done a great job (IMO).

Edit: Turns out that one of the people I share the account with signed up for beta testing with it, which is why I'm seeing the new interface. I really like it.

I use yahoo for a five years and I did not notice any changes with mail interface

Beta test is available to select users only. However, you CAN search google to see screenshots of the changes, but those pictures don't do the system justice.
